Vision Screening Service - Scanners

Hand held Scanner Help & Support

In order to be usable with the Vision Screening Service, hand held bar code scanners must meeting the following requirements:
 

• Support for area imaging to reduce misreads
• Support for PDF-417 bar code scanning
• Output in USB keyboard emulation mode
• Output in Windows Mode Control with ASCII Mode on
 

The service has been tested with Honeywell models 4600g, 4600r, 4600rp, 4800i, Xenon 1900, and Xenon 1902. Configuration guides for these models are provided below and must be followed before using the scanner with this service. Other scanners that meet the above criteria have not been fully tested for compatibility.

Select the appropriate guide below and print it. You will be required to use your scanner to scan the appropriate bar codes in the guide to configure it for use.
